The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has more attack and greater vigor on the nose than the Champ Gain. It has fine delineation and a touch of lemon balm on the nose. The palate is well balanced with orange pith, apricot and peach skin notes. A little spiciness surfaces toward the finish, though it just needs more terroir expression Fine.
