Thirty years of Seña, with Eduardo Chadwick
In September we joined Eduardo Chadwick at Oswald's in Mayfair for a lunch to mark thirty years of Seña and the release of the 2024 vintage. Around twenty-five guests sat down to a run of vintages drawn from across those three decades.
Seña began as a partnership between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi, with a first vintage in 1995. The 1998, made while the two were working together, was poured alongside the 2009, 2011, 2017 and 2021, some from large formats, before the 2024 itself. It was the first time the new vintage had been shown in the UK, and Eduardo talked the room through each wine in turn.
The afternoon opened with Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2014, followed by Errázuriz Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2024.
The wines poured at Oswald's: Seña 2024, the 2021 and 2017 in large format, three older vintages including the 1998, Las Pizarras Chardonnay 2024 and Comtes de Champagne 2014.
