Vinco Wines is an independent fine wine broker. We buy from the people who make the wine, hold it in bond, and sell it to collectors and to the trade.
We are the exclusive United Kingdom agent for three estates, which means the whole UK allocation of their wine passes through this office. Everything else we sell, we buy on the open market for you, rather than out of a book we are trying to clear.
We are in Kent rather than St James's. The wine sits in London City Bond at Burton Gateway, which is where a great deal of Britain's fine wine sits, and the market itself is a screen and a telephone. What you save by not paying for a Mayfair shopfront comes back to you in the price of the bottle.

I started in Seckford Wines' warehouse in 2006, three weeks after leaving school. Bibendum Fine Wines in 2010, then five years at Fine+Rare buying and selling to a global database, which is where I learned broking. In 2016 I joined Armit Wines and learned the agency house from the inside, running the trade campaigns for a wide portfolio of producers. 20+ years, and between them those firms cover most of the ways this business is done.
The reason the business exists is that most people buying wine at this level are dealing with someone whose job is to move the stock in front of them. I wanted the other kind of firm. You deal with me from the first question to delivery, the fees are on the website rather than in a conversation, and if I think something is expensive I will tell you so.
How we work
What we actually do
We act for you, not for a stock position. When you ask us to find a wine we go to the market for it. When you ask us to sell, we take a stated commission and nothing else, and the rate is on the Services page rather than in a conversation. The trade has a habit of describing whatever is in the warehouse as an opportunity. We would rather tell you what we hold and what we can find, and let you choose between them.
Provenance
Every case is stored in bond at London City Bond, Burton Gateway, insured at replacement value and held in your name. Condition, meaning case type, fill levels, labels and any sign of ullage or recorking, is recorded on arrival and travels with the wine. We will send you the photographs of your own cases whenever you ask, and we will not list a wine whose history we cannot account for.
How we price
Prices come from the market rather than from a margin target. We take Liv-ex for wines that trade there and the wider trade for wines that do not, and we show every price both in bond and duty paid inclusive of VAT, so you can see what a bottle actually costs to drink.
