The 2022 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has quite a fragrant, floral bouquet with yellow fruit and just a hint of orange blossom in the background. Very pretty. The palate is taut and fresh with a fine bead of acidity, though it lacks a bit of bandwidth and feels rather conservative on the finish. It does improve and gain more texture and tactile sensation with aeration, so perhaps give it a few more months in bottle. Bottled under Diam 30. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
