This dark ruby/purple-tinged 2002 represents a very good effort for the vintage. The bouquet offers scents of black currants, flowers, licorice, and toasty oak. While the attack is monolithic, the wine exhibits good fruit, depth, and overall richness. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.
