Sadly, the 2014 Barolo Vigna Rionda, Porro's first effort from this site, misses the mark. Soft and pliant, but with very little in the way of definition or character, the 2014 expresses very little Rionda character. Guido Porro might have been better off choosing a more complete vintage to introduce this wine. There just is not much to the 2014.
