At present, the concentrated, promising 1991 is a backward, tannic, young wine, a textbook Ducru in that sense. It will benefit from 4-5 years of cellaring and will last for 15 years. It has plenty of depth, and with time, Ducru's elegance and complexity are sure bets to emerge.
