From the ripest fruit from ancient vines that was not selected for the Doctor Auslese and bottled only every five years to celebrate now 385 years of history, the 2021 Berncasteler Doctor Riesling Spätlese – Jubilée Edition – opens with a clear, intense and flinty, very elegant bouquet with remarkably delicate slate and elegant fruit aromas. Lush yet highly refined and savory on the palate, this is a fine, minerally fresh, lemon-fruity Doctor with precise and sharp but ripe and elegant acidity and excellent fruit concentration that will carry this voluptuous Spätlese to a long and exciting life. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 10 22 in July 2022.
