What the critics say

93 WAWine Advocate, William Kelley, 04-01-2019

The 2015 Meursault À Mon Plaisir Clos du Haut Tesson is showing very well from bottle, unfurling in the glass with aromas of waxy citrus rind, Anjou pear, beeswax and iodine, framed by a light touch of leesy reduction. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a broad, textural attack that segues into a tense, structured mid-palate, concluding with a long finish. While this may not be Jean-Marc Roulot's favorite kind of vintage, he has produced a superbly balanced wine that is built for the cellar.

Bright lemon-yellow. Ripe peach and apricot dominate the nose. Yellow fruit flavors convey good freshness and come across as less aggressive than those of the Limozin if still a touch bitter. Not quite as warm or diffuse. (Colin notes that his Limozin vines are mostly on SO4 rootstock, which gives riper aromas even if you pick early, but not higher alcohol.) Finishes quite dry and a bit disjointed.
