What the critics say

92 WAWine Advocate, Joe Czerwinski, 20-01-2022

More concentrated than this producer's other Crozes, the 2020 Crozes Hermitage la Chasseliere is a gorgeous effort, filled with black cherries and blackberries, all backed by notes of black olives, peppery spice and licorice. It's medium to full-bodied but not overweight or over-extracted, with a rich, velvety—almost creamy—feel on the palate and a long, long finish. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.

90 VMVinous, Josh Raynolds, 22-12-2022

Shimmering ruby. Spice-tinged cherry and dark berry scents are complemented by suggestions of licorice and succulent herbs. Supple, broad and nicely concentrated, offering juicy black raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors that become sweeter with air. Shows spicy lift on the finish, which features discreet tannins and a lingering cherry note.
