What the critics say
93 WAWine Advocate, William Kelley, 09-04-2026
The 2023 Tronquoy has turned out brilliantly, exhibiting aromas of cassis, blueberries and violets, framed by a deftly integrated touch of oak. Medium- to full-bodied, supple and suave, with velvety tannins, excellent depth at the core and a seamless, integrated profile, it was bottled in June 2025. It's a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon this year, 38% Merlot and 11% Petit Verdot.

The 2023 Tronquoy is terrific. Bold, rich and explosive, the 2023 offers up an exciting mélange of black cherry, chocolate, new leather, licorice and incense. This virile Saint-Estèphe packs a pretty serious punch. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot that make up most of the blend speak in somewhat brash tones. I would give the 2023 a few years to soften.
