Quite flavorful, elegant, and deliciously charming as so many of the 1962s have proven to be, this fully mature wine has a moderate- to full-intensity bouquet of ripe, black currant fruit, cedar, and mineral scents. It is medium weight on the palate with a good measure of fruit and charm still in evidence. It should continue to drink delightfully for the near term. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 3/88.
