What the critics say

78 VMVinous, Stephen Tanzer, 01-07-2002

Medium red. Roasted nose shows some hints of maderization. Then tart-edged in the mouth, with a cooked fruit character clashing with the wine sour acidity. Lacks distinction. Dry on the finish. One can only imagine what current owner Gerard Perse could have done with this vintage.
