What the critics say

86 VMVinous, Ian d'Agata, 01-01-2012

(5.1 g/l total acidity; 12.8% alcohol): Medium garnet-tinged red. Aromatic nose offers blackcurrant, Oriental spices and dried herbs. Simple and straightforward in the mouth, with clean flavors of dark berries, underbrush, licorice and ink. Very Pauillac, but a bit one-dimensional, with evolving aromas and flavors and modest length. Drink up.

78 WAWine Advocate, Robert Parker, 01-01-1998

Somewhat variable from bottle to bottle, this lightweight Lynch-Bages has a cedary, fruity, somewhat stalky, herbaceous aroma, light-intensity flavors, and a short, greenish, unripe finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 4/87.
