What the critics say

89 VMVinous, Neal Martin, 01-08-2023

The 2013 La Violette has an attractive nose with raspberry, truffle and light marmalade scents. This is quite attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. It's pretty sweet for the vintage with decent purity. The 2013 is grainy in texture with a dash of white pepper and clove on the finish. Fine. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year On tasting.

86-88 WAWine Advocate, Robert Parker, 28-08-2014

A successful 2013, La Violette exhibits its tell-tale floral notes intermixed with raspberry and black currant fruit. Medium-bodied and fresh with crisp acids as well as a decent finish, it can be drunk over the next 5-7 years.
