What the critics say

88-90 VMVinous, Ian d'Agata, 01-05-2014

Dark ruby. Captivating aromas of intense blackcurrant, red cherry, peppermint and violet, accompanied by an enticing cinnamon note. Fresh and elegant, with vibrant blueberry and raspberry flavors, silky tannins and a long, juicy finish featuring sexy notes of cinnamon and vanilla. The spice notes linger seductively, giving this wine tremendous sex appeal, but it's the overall balance and sweetness that are way above average in 2013. It's hard not to love this outgoing wine every vintage, but in 2013 the team has done a superlative job at this estate and the wine looks to be the equivalent of many a classed growth in 2013.

83-86 WAWine Advocate, Robert Parker, 28-08-2014

A disappointment for this property. This simple, one-dimensional wine shows modest red currant and cherry fruit and loamy soil notes, but narrows out in the mouth and finishes with excessive tannin, especially compared to its fruit elements.
