What the critics say

91 VMVinous, Antonio Galloni, 27-02-2024

The 2021 Côte de Baleau is a delight. Plump, juicy and forward, the 2021 is a fine choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. Silky tannins wrap around a core of sweet red cherry fruit, with touches of cedar, pipe tobacco, mint and mocha that linger. Charming.

Drink 2024 to 2033

87-90 WAWine Advocate, William Kelley, 29-04-2022

The 2021 Côte de Baleau is one of the richer, chunkier wines in the Cuvelier family's portfolio this year. Offering up aromas of sweet cherries and berries framed by creamy new oak, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, with powdery structuring tannins that assert themselves on the gently chewy finish.
