What the critics say

91-93 WAWine Advocate, William Kelley, 14-01-2021

Bouchard owns over two hectares of this climat, and the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons was the first parcel of Pinot Noir harvested in this vintage. Mingling aromas of sweet berries and cassis with hints of peonies, raw cocoa and loamy soil, it's medium-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with bright acids and a nicely defined finish. This is another of the portfolio's sleepers.

85-87 VMVinous, Neal Martin, 01-12-2020

The 2019 Beaune Les Teurons 1er Cru has a very opulent nose, just a little overripe, with light prune and figgy aromas joining the red berry fruit; a little confit, perhaps. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, and displays more freshness than the nose. But there is still a very slight greenness here, as if a couple of batches did not quite achieve phenolic ripeness.
