The 2019 Dolcetto d'Alba is a very pretty, classically built wine. Then, again, that is what I expect to taste at this venerable address. Readers will find a Dolcetto that tastes and feels like the wines of another era, when Dolcetto was a mid-weight, every-day red. Licorice, dried herbs, tobacco and earthy notes add layers of aromatic nuance.
